- Legendary actor Rajinikanth will be conferred with 'Icon of Golden jubilee' award.
- French actor Issabelle Huppert will be conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Italian Film 'Despite the Fog' will be open at 50th International Film Festival of India. It is directed by Goran Paskaljevic.
- 'Marghe and Her mother' will be the closing film at 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), directed by Iranian filmmamker, Mohsen Makhmalbef.
- Information and Broadcasting Secretary "Amit Khare" released Golden Jubliee audio-visual anthem for IFFI to be held in Goa.
- For the 1st time, Haryana is participating in this event.
